How Does Online Study Work at UNE Partnerships?
All UNE Partnerships courses are delivered online, allowing you to study from anywhere in Australia (and beyond) at times that suit you. You do not need to attend a physical campus.
What does online study look like?
- Access your course materials, learning resources, and assessments through the my.unep student portal at my.unep.edu.au
- Study at your own pace within the course timeframe — no fixed class times
- Submit assessments online, including written tasks, case studies, and practical demonstrations
- Communicate with your trainer and support team via email or the portal
- Some courses include optional or required online workshops — your enrolment documentation will confirm this
What equipment do I need?
You need a reliable internet connection and a computer, laptop, or tablet. Most course materials are accessible through a standard web browser. Some assessments may require word-processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word or Google Docs).
How long do courses take?
Duration varies depending on the qualification level and how much time you can dedicate each week. Indicative timeframes are:
- Short courses: typically 4–12 weeks
- Certificate III: approximately 6–12 months
- Certificate IV: approximately 12 months
- Diploma: approximately 12–18 months
- Advanced Diploma: approximately 18–24 months
Completion times may be shorter if you have prior learning (RPL) or credit transfer applied. Speak to your Course Advisor for a realistic estimate based on your experience and availability.
Can I study while working full-time?
Yes. Our courses are specifically designed for working adults. Most students juggle study alongside full-time work and family commitments. You choose when and where you study, as long as you meet submission deadlines within the course timeframe.
What if I fall behind?
Life happens. If you are struggling to keep up, contact your trainer or student support team as early as possible. We can often arrange an extension or adjusted study plan. See Article 10 for more on student support.
